Year 7s and 8s go to this thing called tech and we do things like digitech,woodwork and sewing cooking and ect. Year7s and 8s go in separate groups and year eights have more tech things to do than the year sevens. They only have four classes but we have 5.We go on Thursdays and we go to the old Avonside aka Te Ara Tai. This term I’m doing digitech but last term I did cooking and I liked it but some others not as much. Cooking was easy and I learnt some new things. But this term I have digitech and I’m not really liking it at the moment.We have been making some games and parkour. But yeah tech is pretty good.

Yesterday we saw this dude from Get Wi$e and they were sponsored by ASB. We learnt how to save our money and have extras so we can be responsible with it . He played this slide and it kinda had like AI and they knew how to talk. We went to the planet and we had to buy shoes, chocolate for the people that were staying at and a map of this planet. We 160 dollars and we had to spend it wisely but what we didn’t know is that we could of got all the expensive things and have a 1 left. It was fun the thing that I didn’t like is that I got bored and there was a whole lot of talking.We did a Holiday game on Tuesday as well and we had 1800 dollars to spend and my group went over budget so we were in debt. The game was a bit fun but it wasn’t the best game we could of done. It was my favourite thing though. Overall it was fun and I learnt some new things.

Today I did action stations with matua Travis and we did song writing.I Made a song in maori and its about the atua maori like tangaroa and tane mahuta as well as some more.today we just had to do information and what were writing about.it was pretty fun and I’m so existed for when I’m done cause I think its going to be a really good song it will have guitar and a kaea and heaps of other people.I want to share my song but I still want people to know that I made that song.but that’s all

This term were focusing on science so we learnt about the change of state.we learnt how particles  come together to form liquid,gas or a solid.For example ice is a solid its hard but if you melt it could turn into a liquid and it could be watery and then if you boil that liquid it can turn into gas like stem or smoke. Whaea Jasmine gave a sheet of paper that had the particles and these text with some information about the particles.We  also had some pictures of the 3 particles and these arrows that showed you how to make them or how to make them form. This term we did action station and I did kiorahi.We had to watch a video about how kioarahi was invented and how to play.Then we had to make a slide show of the story in group of 3-4. We had four people in our group. Over the weeks we played a couple of games of kioarahi. Everyone was confused at first but then the second time we played, everyone was  familiar  and knew how to play.Here Is our slide show

Yesterday our class went to Harold but I wasn’t there that day so I didn’t really know what happened but all of my friends told me about it and said it was fun.

They watched a short clip about peer pressure and how there are different ways how you could get peer pressured like if I said Jaelyn get my computer that’s peer pressure, in my opinion that’s negative, positive peer pressure could be like someone telling you something and adding please on the end of what they said so it’s not peer pressure.

We learnt about black mail and how could affect people like if I said oh if you don’t do this for me I’m going to tell everyone your deepest darkest secret I’ve blackmailed someone before now I kinda regret it cause it was my sister and she must of felt really sad. But don’t use negative peer pressure like I did.

Today we learnt about how smoking can effect your lungs your heart and your health. We also did a sheet about our decisions about what we should do if someone is either smoking or vaping around us and what we should say to them if we ever experienced this for example your friend is smoking a cigarette around you what would you say?I would say you’ve doing this often I’m pretty worried about you.But you could say whatever you want to say. This week we’ve been talking about peer pressure and the examples of it like how there can be negative positive here are some examples. Here’s the positive,like imagine if your friends tell you to tell someone else the truth about something that you did but the negative example can be like telling someone to confront someone when they don’t want to or just telling someone to do something that they might not want to do.

This year we have been focusing on action and this week we’ve done some persuasive writing about smoking and how we should take action on it.What I’ve talked about in my writing  is how smoking can affect your health and the environment. Something that I learnt from this is  the pollution part of smoking. it was about cigarette butts and how much toxins it can realises from one little butt. It can also take about 2 years for one to fully break down that’s a long time for just one. Here is my writing  and hopefully you can learn a thing or as well. i’m learning to write and to persuade as well as convince other people about what I’m writing and to see my point of view.I strongly feel that my opinion was clearly stated in most of my writing and I fell that I put heaps of information and examples to quit smoking.What I think i need work on is more points and more ideas but the rest is good in my opinion.Here is a photo of some facts.

For the past couple of days we’ve been doing should recycling be compulsory and i thought that it should be like I said in my doc.I learnt that not all people recycle the thing they can recycle but don’t chose to anyways.The thing that I liked about this was about the facts that I said I just found it interesting that some people don’t put there recyclable rubbish in the yellow bin. but here is my work that I had to do. link
